How to Plan a Combined Desk and Sim Racing Setup

Not everyone has room for a dedicated sim racing cockpit. The desk-simracing scene is for setups that do both: a regular gaming desk with a table-clamped wheel base and pedals underneath. It's a practical solution for smaller spaces — and Corsair Atelier lets you visualize exactly how the wheel, pedals, and desk peripherals coexist before you commit to buying anything.

Step 1: Load the desk + sim racing scene

Head to atelier.corsair.com and choose a predefined desk rig scene, or start from scratch and select "Desk Rig" as your scene type.

Step 2: Set up the desk side first

Start with the monitor, keyboard, and mouse — the everyday gaming setup. Getting the desk side right first makes it easier to see how much space remains for the sim racing components.

Step 3: Add the wheel base, wheel, and pedals

The desk-simracing scene uses a table-clamp wheel base — it mounts directly to the desk edge. Add your wheel base, then pick a compatible steering wheel. Pedals sit on the floor in front of the desk.
